I was wondering which plants/trees work better in the trays? And, can you really make a “multi-trunked tree” Bonsai by cutting down a maple to just above the soil line & letting it do it’s thing, naturally? If so, when is the best time of year to do the cutting? Only ask, because I read/saw it in a book of Bonsai “short-cuts.”
