Since I joined the bonsai club \u2013 Hong Kong Institute of Lingnan Penjing<\/a> (\u9999\u6e2f\u5dba\u5357\u76c6\u666f\u85dd\u8853\u5b78\u6703<\/a>) in July this year, I had been debating on whether or not I should rent a piece of land in the bonsai workshop to practice bonsai. It is a big commitment, for I know that once I have rented a spot in the workshop for practicing bonsai, I will definitely get hooked on these little trees for the many years to come.<\/p>\n

But I really couldn\u2019t hold it anymore, especially after seeing all the beautiful bonsai in the Guangzhou Penjing (Bonsai) Exhibition<\/a>. I just wanted to start making my own!<\/p>\n

It's quite empty on my bonsai rack now<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n


\nWhile most members in the bonsai club rent bigger pieces of lands so they can grow their bonsai trees in the ground for faster growth (pot the bonsai trees once it has grown to the size desired), I have rented a smaller spot and got a rack made for my bonsai trees instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are all the bonsai trees I have. Most of them are still very young, which I propagated from cutting earlier this summer. Teacher Wong has also given me a few bonsai trees to get things started.<\/p>\n

I have actually bought a few bigger bonsai trees which are now rooted in the ground. Because of the season, I won\u2019t dig them up and pot them in containers now, but wait till the next spring.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
