One of my Crape Myrtle<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Besides the two bonsai trees<\/a>, I have also got two small Crape Myrtle (aka Lagerstroemia indica , or \u7d2b\u8587 in Chinese) cuttings from the mini bonsai class of Hong Kong Institute of Lingnan Penjing. In less than 1.5 months, both cuttings have grown some new branches ,and now are blooming beautifully with some bright pink flowers and red berries.<\/p>\n

This was how the two Crape Myrtle cuttings looked when I first got them in the class six weeks ago. The cuttings were around 5 cm tall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To train the branches and establish the shape of these little bonsai trees, I have already started wiring the shoots. I did this as gentle as possible. Hopefully, I didn’t crack anything…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
